The Sunday Times have released their annual guide to the best places to live in the UK 2021. So read on to see if your home has made the list.
Community spirit, healthiness of the highstreet, local schools, broadband, house prices, overall quality of life and more factors are taken into account each year during judging by an expert panel.
The Sunday Times best places to live UK report puts local pride at stake and certainly fuels a few good rivalries. All in good jest of course.
This year’s overall winner was Stroud in Gloucestershire, who beat 78 other spectacular locations to take the crown.
“Stroud has been chosen as our winner because it has all the basics covered in perfect style: it has excellent schools, convenient transport links and easy access to lots of glorious green space.
“Best of all it has a unique independent spirit that comes to the fore in its impressive local food scene and at the brilliant weekly farmers’ market that brings the town and surrounding countryside together.” Said Helen Davies, The Times and Sunday Times property editor.
